The Rebate Process
1. Booking Audit: To schedule a preliminary home energy audit, call an Enbridge Gas-approved service organization before making any changes. To find ways to save energy in your house, they will dispatch a certified energy expert to come and evaluate it.
2. Pre-Assessment: A personalized report outlining energy-saving modifications will be provided by the certified energy adviser.
3. Retrofit Your Home: To install your improvements, you get to choose the contractor. Two qualifying improvements are necessary.
4. Post-Assessment: Make an appointment for a follow-up visit after the installation of any appropriate improvements. The process takes around one hour and is to be completed no later than 120 days after your first evaluation or December 31, 2025, whichever comes first.
5. Apply for Rebate: Beginning in January 2025, Rebate Cheques will be distributed.
Note that equipment that is not on the authorized list maintained by Natural Resources Canada will not be eligible for the rebate
